Welcome..
I was lucky enough to spend 10 glorious days in Bali in June, before I left I started going through my wardrobe selecting clothes to take and came to realise that I have lots of clothes (not as many as some a moderate amount lets say) but of them there were only a handful that I wanted to pack, why? Because only a handful of the clothes made me feel good when I put them on, so the others were put back in the wardrobe. Whilst I was away I lived in the following items.
Navy Dress, Navy Jump Suite, Caftan for over bathers, Shorts, T Shirts, bathers and a couple of scarfs to accessories the above outfits, oh and one necklace (which is doubles as an essential oil diffuser). I did buy another dress to add to the above collection whilst away which is multi functional so can be worn as a dress or tucked in to shots or pants.
I have always known that I have too much stuff, clothes, paperwork, books, utensils you name it and I know that it weighs me down makes me feel anxious sometimes even stressed. Then there is the added burden of technologies, too many emails, subscriptions, Facebook, Instagram and so on.
So now I have decided to declutter big time. Why? Because I no longer want to feel weighed down by stuff, meaningless stuff. I want to be able to walk into any room in my house and feel calm and relaxed not stressed when I see stuff, stuff sitting in a pile, stuff that I don’t need, stuff to deal with. I don’t want to focus my energy on the stuff any more, I want to focus my energy on me my family and loved ones. I want to have time to do the things I enjoy not deal with stuff.
I will give myself a timeline the 1st of November and I will journal the journey the highs and the lows. My aim at the conclusion is to have a home, where I can walk into any room and feel calm and relaxed any only be surrounded by beautiful things , such as beautiful photos, special mementos with fond memories and plants as these are all the things that make me feel happy, to have a place for everything and everything in its place and to have less Stuff. Don’t get me wrong I don’t want to become a minimalist, just have less meaningless unnecessary stuff.
So if you want to join me on this journey then, sign up to this blog and lets do it together, I will be here to help and support you along the way.
